Viking’s new 82 Convertible features a five-stateroom, six-head layout and is offered in three different models including open bridge, enclosed bridge and sky bridge. The 230-square-foot cockpit features a walk-through transom door, transom fishbox/live well and full-length in-deck fish boxes to port and starboard. The mezzanine has abundant storage, including a tackle cabinet, ice chipper box and refrigerated step box. Hull No. 1 is an open flybridge model that features a walkaround center console, three Release Marine helm chairs while the 8-inch-high platform offers 360-degree visibility. The console’s dash holds four 17-inch multi-function dsplays while the helm area features dual radio boxes and teak helm pod with single-lever controls. Forward of the helm is a full-length lounge with freezer below and dual freezers forward, sink and refrigerated drink box. Seating to port and starboard each hold back-to-back lounges that share a backrest.
The salon has a day head to port while to starboard there’s a wraparound sofa with storage below and port-side HDTV in entertainment center cabinetry. Forward to port the dinette accommodates five and has rod storage in a pull-out drawer below. The galley has under-counter refrigerators and freezer and second dining area with three stools. There’s also an electric cooktop, conventional oven, drawer storage, microwave oven, trash compactor and dishwasher and a pantry forward of the galley where a bunk can be added. Five staterooms, including a full-beam master, each have their own ensuite head with separate shower while additional space in the companionway provides a dedicated rod and tackle locker as well as a laundry center.
