Pursuit’s new S 388 offers a cockpit that features a three-wide raised mezzanine seat with lined storage tub below and backrests with tackle and other storage space. There’s a boarding door to starboard, folding transom seat with backrest, built-in transom cooler and leaning post with 12-volt slide-out refrigerator/freezer. Fishing features include 12 flush-mount rod holders plus storage for up to 13 rods under the port gunwale, hardtop and in the cabin. The transom has a lighted 36-gallon livewell while insulated fish boxes with macerators and overboard discharge are to port and starboard. A tackle center is located behind the mezzanine seat backrests and there’s also a bait prep area at the entertainment center. Aluminum backing plates to port and starboard are provided for downrigger installation as is wiring on both sides of the cockpit for electric reel outlets.
The helm has triple seats plus room for three 16-inch multifunction displays. The full-beam hardtop with powder-coated pipework has a large sliding access/ventilation hatch plus an overhead electronics mounting surface and dedicated locations for outrigger base mounting. The custom windshield has a powder-coated frame with laminated windshield glass and wiper with fresh water washer and an electrically actuated center vent. Forward of the console there’s a chaise lounge for two. Seating forward of the chaise sits two and has insulated storage below plus there’s additional seating forward to port and starboard with electrically operated backrests. Inside the console’s air-conditioned cabin there’s a galley with microwave, two drawer-style refrigerator/freezers and storage plus table.
