Daiwa’s X8 Jigman Braid, developed with vertical jigging in mind, is constructed using Daiwa’s proprietary WX weaving technology to produce the most consistent braid possible. Beyond the advanced WX weave, X8 Jigman utilizes Izanas strands. These ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene strands are eight times stronger than piano wire of the same gauge. Beyond Izanas it’s how individual weights of the entire XBraid family are manufactured that makes it superior to the competition. Other brands take a single base material and stretch it to achieve the desired diameter and weight creating inconsistencies that lead to weak spots. Each diameter and weight of X8 Jigman is produced from a dedicated spool to eliminate stretching and inconsistencies. XBraid’s WX Weave also produces a denser weave with more material in the finished product. That tighter weave results in a smoother, more abrasion resistant fishing line.
