CORTLAND MASTER BRAID

CORTLAND
MASTER BRAID

Cortland Master Braid is the most consistent performing super braid, ideal for a wide variety of saltwater applications. Utilizing Cortland’s Opti-Con trademarked technology, gel-spun fibers are woven into a tighter and stronger braid that stacks better on spinning, baitcasting or conventional reels. Master Braid is treated with FiberTech protection that bonds to the individual gel-spun fibers, which adds body and improves handling of the line. This super braid excels at strike detection while also offering instantaneous hooksets and longer casts. With exceptional strength and low stretch, Master Braid does not require a break-in period and maintains its body and handling cast after cast for an extended life. Cortland’s ColorLast process provides long-lasting color that does not bleed. Master Braid is available in moss green, blue, bronze, white and yellow in a wide range of breaking strengths on spools from 150 to 3,500 yards. METRO MARINE UNDERWATER LIGHTS

METRO MARINE
UNDERWATER LIGHTS

Metro Marine’s unique patented underwater lighting fixtures for boats and docks solve the two most critical problems commonly found in underwater lighting fixtures: biofouling and condensation. Marine growth on clear lenses in front of LEDs blocks the light and causes the fixtures to overheat. When UVC germicidal lights became available in LED form, Metro Marine devised and patented a unique and innovative system utilizing UVC LEDs to keep the lenses on their fixtures crystal clear forever. Condensation also is a critical issue found in many underwater marine lighting fixtures. It causes internal corrosion and destroys underwater lighting fixtures from the inside out. Metro Marine has solved this problem by eliminating condensation from their fixtures thanks to a patent-pending assembly process. Metro Marine’s F-Series RGBW underwater fixtures feature state-of-the-art LEDs from Nichia and have true dynamic full spectrum color control, resulting in higher-quality whites and richer color blends. Single-color fixtures offer blue, white, green and aqua. Contact: Ocean Marketing at 800-343-8294 or visit www.oceanmark.com.

SAUCY LURES SIDE PLANER SPREADER BAR

SAUCY LURES SIDE PLANER
SPREADER BAR

The new Side Planer Spreader Bar from Saucy Lures replaces the need for outriggers and features a patent-pending Side Planing plate. The plate is attached by three 400-pound-test pieces of monofilament to keep the bar running straight in all conditions. This configuration also keeps the plate running at an angle to the bar at all times, submerging it to maximize side force that also allows the bar to be pulled farther out from the boat while also allowing you to run bigger spreader bars with more squid at modest boat speeds of 3 to 5 knots. Two, three or four planer bars can be run at a time without tangling because you can vary the distance from the boat to create separation. Zig-zag patterns are often used and turns can be made without crossing lines. Contact: Saucy Lures at 603-513-3068 or by email at sputterbird@gmail.com.

SHADOW CASTER EAGLE RAY LIGHTBAR

SHADOW CASTER
EAGLE RAY LIGHTBAR

The Eagle Ray Light Bar from Shadow Caster uses laser-driven light sources that emit natural 6,500K white light from a very small space. An innovative optic allows the beam to be adjusted from a broad 50-degree angle down to a super-tight 5-degree. Not only does this provide long-distance visibility for maximum reaction time, but it reduces light scattering back into the eyes of the user when running in fog, mist, rain and spray. The dimmable floodlights can be controlled separately. Combined, the beams and floods produce 20,000 lumens to light up the darkest night. The power, brightness and beam angle are adjusted via a simple push-button switch and users can control the light through an NMEA 2000-enabled multifunction display or Shadow-Caster’s Light Commander Plus. The unit features a rugged black or white housing with an adjustable mounting base and a glass lens that is both durable and resistant to thermal shock. STERLING TACKLE CEDARFLEX

STERLING TACKLE
CEDARFLEX

The new CedarFlex from Sterling Tackle features a flexible body that reduces the chance of a lost fish because a traditional hard plug often acts as a lever to pry the hook loose during the fight. CedarFlex is designed to be pulled straight from the rod tip and should not be clipped down. A single CedarFlex will produce the most bites when fished on top, interacting with the surface and diving intermittently. When pulling the CedarFlex as a stinger behind a surface bar or chain, the correct surface interaction will be maintained and it can be fished anywhere in the spread, though the preferred spot is on the third wake. Available in pre-rigged 7-inch and 9-inch models in nine colors, the single rigged version comes with an 8-foot, 130-pound test fluorocarbon leader with a 9/0 or 10/0 hook while the Stinger Rigged version comes rigged with a 4.5-inch or 6-foot 250-pound-test monofilament leader and 9/0 or 10/0 hook. Contact: Sterling Tackle at 609-515-4257 or visit www.sterlingtackle.com.

TUNACIOUS TUNA SAW

TUNACIOUS
TUNA SAW

Once a tuna hits the deck, keeping it in prime shape is critical to not only retain the value but also the taste and texture of the fish as well. The Tuna Saw from Tunacious is an excellent choice for cutting the gill plate off a tuna and removing all the entrails. After testing multiple types of saw teeth on tuna gill plates, the teeth that performed best were stamped into the thickest saw blade material Tunacious could make. Tunacious then added a soft and heavily textured overmolded handle designed provide a secure grip even when hands are covered in blood, slime and water. The 9-inch blade of the saw features has a black oxide and Teflon finish to resist rust and never needs to be sharpened and comes with a protective sheath for safe storage.
