Being ready. Being ready can mean a variety of things in the world of big game fishing. It’s a sport where things are constantly changing as the world spins and makes its journey around the sun. The natural variables are endless with things like the moon, weather conditions, water temperature, and time of year. These are all things that constantly change before you even get into the thing we all love to do: fishing.
Fishing, like anything in life, is a perfect example of how putting in the time will directly lead to better results. Whether that time is spent on preparation, research and networking, or pushing through a long day with no bites, it’s the reason you end up having success in the end. Of course, there are many people who can go out, get a bite once or twice, and have a successful fishing day. However, it’s the consistent success that can be found after you put the time in year after year.
I’m an avid outdoorsman and have my happiest moments in life when I’m in the elements. It’s a passion that stems deep into my roots, and one that controls my life whenever the season is upon us. I carry that same passion throughout my outdoor activities. With passion comes care. When you care about something the good moments are great. However, when you care about something this much, the bad times can hurt more than when the good times are great.
