DUFFIE BOATWORKS 79

Duffie Boatworks of Ocean City, Maryland, recently splashed its highly anticipated 79-foot sportfisherman that is the expression of the owner’s lifelong dream. This unique build presented Duffie Boatworks with an opportunity to show they are not constrained with one style and design as craftsmen and as a boatbuilding company. The contemporary styling is a departure from their normal lines, but the company believes they hit it just right. Like all Duffie Boatworks vessels, Reel Joy features construction with the finest materials such as Brynzeel plywood, Pro-set epoxies, Vector-ply fiberglass and Awlgrip finishing systems. Reel Joy is powered by twin 16V MTU M96L 2600 diesels and features a four-stateroom, four-head layout with a tackle room. Her high gloss finish on Santos Rosewood veneer and SeaSmart hardware paired with the modern touch of her soft goods provides for an impeccable interior. Reel Joy is equipped with a Bausch Towers hardtop and tower, Rupp Tournament hydraulic outriggers, Release Marine chairs, along with a Seakeeper 26, Dometic watermaker, Eskimo ice machine, SeaStar Optimus steering, Furuno Omni sonar and a complete Garmin electronics suite. Twin 30kW Northern Lights generators provide AC power while traveling and fishing. The Reel Joy travels extensively and fishes the Atlantic and Pacific oceans in the same calendar year and was built for any fishing situation. NORTHCOAST 415HT

The latest splash from North Coast Boats, the 415HT, is their largest build to date and features quad Yamaha 300XSB outboards with the Helm Master EX joystick control providing full maneuverability. Board through the portside cockpit door, or transom door, into a 102-square foot cockpit that’s laid out for fishing or opt for the cruising cockpit layout. An aft-facing seat with armrest and built-in 27-gallon cooler below leans against the aft full bulkhead with bifolding windows and a locking door. The starboard side has a tackle and gear station and unlock the pilothouse door to enter a very open layout. The settee is to port with a wood table and plenty of room for entertaining. A full galley to starboard has drawer style refrigerator, freezer, microwave and storage below the two-burner electric stove and sink. The helm area offers a stainless-steel Edson wheel, two Raymarine 19-inch multi-function displays and Release Marine helm seats.
There are yacht quality accommodations below via the open companionway wooden stairs, where you’ll find mahogany veered bulkheads and a seating area to port. The head door is to starboard and master stateroom straight ahead. The wood trim, floors, doors, and drawers of the master behind a mahogany sliding door accent a walk-around large queen berth with rod storage below. There’s also a large hanging locker to port. The 415HT will sleep six adults in comfort including the portside single crew berth, aft three-quarter beam double, and the convertible settee in the pilothouse. The head is complete with vanity, sink, and fully partitioned shower with teak grate and seat. Contact: North Coast at 888-802-2132 or visit www.northcoastboats.com.
